Responsibilities
- Providing nursing care as delegated and supervised by a registered nurse, who offers onsite guidance as necessary, in accordance with the client’s care plan and assessed needs.
- Supporting the client’s nursing care requirements as outlined by the registered nurse.
- Actively participating in the nursing process by contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the client’s care plan, maintaining accurate clinical records, and documenting relevant observations.
- Delivering services as assigned, adhering to agency policies.
- Compiling clinical and progress notes for the client’s records.
- Assisting the registered nurse in performing specialized procedures and responsibilities.
- Contributing to the execution of the care plan under the registered nurse’s guidance.
- Aiding the client in acquiring appropriate self-care techniques.
- Promptly reporting any changes in the client’s condition to the supervising registered nurse.
- Preparing for treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques as required.
- Administering prescribed client treatments and medications.
- Adhering to the agency’s Code of Conduct.
- Following the agency’s infection control policies, including proper handwashing techniques in line with CDC Guidelines.
- Assessing and managing clients experiencing pain.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervising registered nurses.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain composure in diverse situations.
- Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are imperative.
- Must possess a reliable means of transportation for commuting to and from work.
- Basic computer skills and overall technical proficiency are required.
- Documentation of eligibility to work in the U.S. is necessary.
