Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care as delegated and supervised by a registered nurse, who offers onsite guidance as necessary, in accordance with the client’s care plan and assessed needs.
• Supporting the client’s nursing care requirements as outlined by the registered nurse.
• Actively participating in the nursing process by contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the client’s care plan, maintaining accurate clinical records, and documenting relevant observations.
• Delivering services as assigned, adhering to agency policies.
• Compiling clinical and progress notes for the client’s records.
• Assisting the registered nurse in performing specialized procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributing to the execution of the care plan under the registered nurse’s guidance.
• Aiding the client in acquiring appropriate self-care techniques.
• Promptly reporting any changes in the client’s condition to the supervising registered nurse.
• Preparing for treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques as required.
• Administering prescribed client treatments and medications.
• Adhering to the agency’s Code of Conduct.
• Following the agency’s infection control policies, including proper handwashing techniques in line with CDC Guidelines.
• Assessing and managing clients experiencing pain.
• Performing other duties as directed by supervising registered nurses.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain composure in diverse situations.
• Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are imperative.
• Must possess a reliable means of transportation for commuting to and from work.
• Basic computer skills and overall technical proficiency are required.
• Documentation of eligibility to work in the U.S. is necessary.
